Sugarcane harvest season begins this week in St. James Parish.
With safety being our number one priority, please use caution and have patience on the roadway this sugarcane harvest season.
Driving reminders:
· Leave a few minutes early
· Slow down – be a little more patient
· Look for farm vehicles entering and exiting the roadway
· Keep an eye out for slow-moving vehicles
· Put the phone down
