GARYVILLE — On September 15, Parish President Jaclyn Hotard, Council and staff held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction on a new airnasium at Ezekiel Jackson Park in Garyville.

The project will consist of replacing the concrete basketball court, goals, lighting and construction of the new airnasium. It is expected to be complete in approximately six months.

“The pandemic and Hurricane Ida may have delayed some projects, but we are excited to be able to now move forward. These improvements will not only enhance the area but bring much needed recreational outlets for children and youth in the surrounding community,” said Parish President Hotard.
