She is a mother, wife, and community member, as well as a parishioner at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Vicknair is enthusiastic about her community and has a yearning to be a part of needed change within the local school system.

The great-granddaughter of Rowley and Mabel Hymel, granddaughter of Jimmy and Janet Hymel, and daughter of Chris and Jill Eichhorn, Vicknair’s family has been deeply rooted in St. John Parish for generations. She and her husband Alex live in LaPlace and are now raising their family there as well. Vicknair desires to see more businesses develop locally, which will lead to more opportunities for the children of St. John the Baptist Parish. She knows those opportunities start with our schools.

“We need to support our teachers so that they want to stay, and increase our opportunities for family engagement within the school system,” Vicknair said. “Accountability across all departments is a large piece of that, and I vow to be a part of those conversations and actions if elected. I would love to earn your support, and your vote. Please reach out to me with any questions.”
