AN IMPROVED SCHOOLBOARD = AN IMPROVED COMMUNITY

ST JOHN – YOU DESERVE BETTER!

Tim “Timmy” Keller grew up in the St John Parish area, attending OLG, St Peter’s, Reserve Jr. High, and graduated from Leon Godchaux High Class of 75’.  He attained a BS degree from Xavier University New Orleans ‘79 with concentration in marketing & economics. While employed, an associate degree in electronics servicing tech was also earned in ‘81.

Keller found a career niche in manufacturing/production beginning at Sewell Plastics of Reserve.  This start gave him and his family an opportunity to travel and live in various parts of our state and country for a period of 20 years, returning home in 2012. Disappointed and dissatisfied how our parish had not advanced in comparison to his exposures, Keller decided to help add value by getting in where he could fit in.  Below is a list of involvement in the 10 years he’s been back home.

  • La Ambassadors – middle school mentoring program.
  • St John Recreation Dept. – baseball & basketball coaching & sport camps.
  • Chairperson for Recreation Advisory board.
  • Chairperson for annual “Unity In The Community” Block Party.
  • Member of Concern Citizens of St John environmental watch.
  • Organizer for annual 4th of July family & friends Gala.

Currently Keller is still employed as a shift supervisor at a chemical plant south of Baton Rouge, but his commitment to this parish is deep.  He has been married for 30 years and has four adult children and three grandchildren.

“Thank You in advance for letting your vote count for Tim Keller District 4 School Board member,” Keller said. “I’m here to serve, work, and add value to improve our School Board, in turn improve the entire Community, BECAUSE ST JOHN … YOU DESERVE BETTER! Together Let’s Do Better.”
