LaPlace man arrested for business burglary in Paulina

On Wednesday, August 10, 2022, a little after 7:30 am, the Sheriff’s Office was notified of a burglary at a new business under construction on Hwy 3125 near Admirals Landing, in Paulina. It was discovered that over $10,000 worth of tools and equipment were stolen.
Detectives were able to identify the suspect vehicle, an older model white Ford F-150 pulling a trailer.
The suspect vehicle was located this morning, August 11th, and deputies were able to initiate a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle, Sean Gautreaux, 40 years old, from LaPlace was detained for questioning. Throughout the day, detectives have been able to recover property stolen in the burglary.
Gautreaux has been arrested and booked with R.S. 14:62 Simple Burglary and is currently awaiting a bond to be set.
