LAPLACE — Georgia “GK” Keller proudly announces her candidacy for the 2022 elections for St. John The Baptist Parish School Board Member District 10.

I am a pediatric/adult nurse and member of Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church. Priding myself on giving back, I have been extensively involved in the community as a St. John Heat Cheer Coach- four years, Ascension of Our Lord Pastoral Council- two years, St. John Planning Commission Chairwoman (current), voter registration drives and assisted elderly/disabled with preparing their contents lists after Hurricane Ida.

If elected, my plans are to donate the monthly school board salary (after taxes) to a different school in the parish that will be used for the kids. I will review each contract line by line and work toward eliminating the ones that are wasteful so that money can be reinvested back into the schools. Everyone will have a voice, so input from teachers, students and parents will be imperative. Working with teachers to implement programs for our special needs students and ESL (English Second Language) students will be priority.

Election day is November 8, 2022. I humbly ask for your consideration and vote!
