On August 4, 2022, at 7:00 PM, Kenner Police were dispatched to the rear alleyway of the 800 block of Vouray Drive, in reference to an anonymous complaint of subjects in a vehicle using drugs.
Officers located the vehicle and interviewed the driver, later identified as Jimmy Ambrose, 18, Kenner. Ambrose admitted to having marijuana in his vehicle and was searched by the officer at which time a Glock 40 caliber handgun, with an extended magazine, was found concealed in his waistband.
Ambrose has a prior arrest for carrying a concealed weapon.
Ambrose was arrested and charged with Illegal Carrying of Weapons and Possession of Marijuana.
