Two Louisiana residents were allegedly involved in a Connecticut robbery.

Lamoine Ward of LaPlace was arrested by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Aug. 1 for the arrest warrant held by Greenwich Police Department in Greenwhich, Connecticut.

On June 25, a woman identified as Kristen McKenzie of Metairie entered a business on Mason Street in Greenwhich, Connecticut, and attempted to steal several purses. She was interrupted by several bystanders and ran from the store.

The suspect, and another bystander, were then struck by a dark-colored SUV operated by a Ward.

The driver of the SUV displayed a handgun before both subjects fled in the SUV. The bystander suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The Greenwich Police Department secured two arrest warrants (robbery 1st degree, assault 1st degree, & larceny 4th) for Ward and McKenzie.

The arrest warrants alleged Kristen McKenzie attempted to shoplift several items from a retail store. She was confronted by store employees outside the store.

The arrest warrant further alleges Lamoine Ward used his vehicle to strike one of the store employees. After striking the employee, he pointed a firearm at the employee while he lay on the ground.

On Aug. 1, Ward had been arrested by the Las Vegas Metro Police Department on multiple criminal charges. They learned of the Connecticut arrest warrant and served the warrant while Ward was in their custody.

Ward is being held on bond. When the charges in Nevada have been settled, Ward will be extradited back to Connecticut.
