STATE HOSTS DISASTER RECOVERY HOUSING EXPO

The Louisiana Office of Community Development, in collaboration with federal, state and local partners, is hosting a disaster recovery housing resource expo from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, for residents affected by Hurricane Ida. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held at the Dumas Auditorium at 301 W. Tunnel Blvd. in Houma.

The resource expo will be an interactive event, with exhibitors sharing information on available home and business grants, health care resources, property titles and heirship, resilient building techniques, remediating mold and understanding insurance policies, among other topics.

Event exhibitors include officials from federal and state disaster recovery and housing agencies, health care organizations, local nonprofits, government agencies and legal service providers.

Additional housing expos will be held in southeast Louisiana at the following dates and locations:
