LaPlace resident Natasha Chambers claimed the single Lotto jackpot-winning ticket for the July 13 drawing worth $2,755,227. She claimed the prize Thursday at the Lottery’s Baton Rouge headquarters and received $1,976,875.37 after state and federal tax withholdings.

The ticket, which matched all six numbers, was purchased at Big River Fuel and Food #7 on West Airline Highway in LaPlace. The store received a one-time selling bonus of $27,552.27, which is 1% of the jackpot prize.

Chambers’ prize was the largest Lotto jackpot won since February 2021 when a $3.1 million jackpot-winning ticket was sold in Covington.

Lottery ticket purchasers must be at least 21 years of age. Draw-style game tickets must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing. Anyone who may have a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem should call toll free 1-877-770-7867 for help.

For security purposes, the Lottery strongly encourages players to sign the back of their tickets immediately after purchasing. More information about Lotto and other jackpot winners can be found on the Lottery’s website, www.louisianalottery.com/lotto.
