LDWF agents in the New Orleans region brought seized fish in connection to fishing violations to the Venice Marina.  At the marina, the seized fish was processed and held for Hunters for the Hungry.

A total of 800 pounds of fish filets were recently donated to the New Orleans Mission with over 400 pounds of the fish from LDWF seizures.  The rest of the fish came from fishermen donations.

Fish ranging from red drum to swordfish and tuna were given to the cause.

Hunters for the Hungry’s mission is to encourage hunters and fishermen to make a difference in the lives of their neighbors by sharing their bounty of wild game and fish in order to combat hunger.
