Kenner Police: Traffic stop leads to arrest of 3

Shortly after midnight on July 7, 2022, Kenner Police made two separate traffic stops that resulted in the arrest of three individuals for weapons and narcotics violations. A total of three handguns and narcotics, including 29 individually wrapped bags of marijuana packaged for distribution, were seized as evidence.
Carl Givens, 28 of Metairie, who has prior felony convictions for Distribution of Cocaine in 2016 and Theft of a Firearm in 2015, was arrested and charged with multiple weapons violations and possession and distribution of narcotics.
Kendre Ballet, 20 of Metairie, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana.
Ernest Jones, 22, New Orleans was arrested and charged with Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number.
