BOUTTE — River Parishes Community College invites all to join Rex and the Krewe at the United Way of St. Charles campus for Chromebook giveaways, free food, campus tours and more on July 7 from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.

This event is sponsored by Dow and Shell. This event is open to the community and anyone looking to explore the education opportunities that RPCC offers.

“At Shell Norco, we know that education is important to pave the way for a better future for the community,” said Corporate Relations Advisor Rochelle Touchard. “It can also be more than learning and growing; it can be fun. We are excited to sponsor Rex and the River Parishes Community College Krewe in a fun day of events for students, potential students and the community.”

At this event, there will be opportunities to apply to the college in-person with the help of the recruitment and admissions department. Tours of the campus will be provided. There will also be a chance to learn about scholarships like the MJ Foster Promise Program.

“We would like to offer our community the opportunity to come out and meet us and tour the campus. It is the perfect opportunity to get all your questions answered in one place regarding our programs and degrees. You will find our campus welcoming to all learners,” said Penelope Shumaker, the campus director for the United Way of St. Charles Campus.
