Audrey Jacob Roussel passed away on July 1, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was 93 years old, native of Reserve, LA and a resident of Paulina, LA. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She devoted her life to caring for her special needs child.
Wife of the late Francis Roussel for 67 years. Loving mother of Susan Roussel Poirrier, Dennis Roussel (Debra) and Leslye Ann Roussel. Grandmother of Nicole Poirrier Adams (Derrick), Kayla Poirrier, Casey Roussel, Chad Roussel (Lindsay) and Cory Roussel (Lorelei). Great Grandmother of Preston & Peyton Adams, Chance Montelius, Kash & Kali Poirrier, Phoenix and Leah Roussel, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Francis Roussel, her parents Victorin and Juanita Jacob, siblings Virgie Roussel, Marion Laborde, and V.J. Jacob.
There are not enough words to fully express our heartfelt thanks for the prayers, love and sympathy extended to our family at this time. Special thanks to the nurses and caregivers at Ascension Oaks Nursing Facility and Hospice of Baton Rouge for taking such great care of our mom.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2130 Rectory St., Paulina, LA on Wednesday, July 6, 2022. Visitation at the church from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Paulina, LA.
