Chief Jimmy Travis is happy to report the recovery of the 2020 Honda Rancher which was stolen earlier in the week from a residence in Independence, and the suspect is in custody!

Detectives identified Jammie Kelly, a 48 year old black male from Hammond, LA, as the primary suspect. Kelly, who is currently incarcerated in the Tangipahoa Parish Jail, had been arrested on non-relating charges the same day the ATV was stolen. Upon being interviewed at the jail, Kelly provided detectives with the location of the ATV which was then recovered in Livingston Parish.

In light of the investigation, additional charges against Kelly are pending.
