Incident: Theft by phone scam and criminal damage to property
Location: 10000 block of Airline Highway in St. Rose, LA

Sheriff Greg Champagne reports a cashier received a phone call from a male subject claiming to be the owner of the store and that he had a large shipment of merchandise ready for delivery. He requested the cashier to take cash out of the registers and purchase Bit Coin from a location in Kenner. He then told her it was not enough and requested her to break into the store’s safe to get more money.

 

Incident: Contractor failed to complete work

Sheriff Greg Champagne reports deputies responded to the report of a contractor receiving payment and failing to complete work.

 

Incident: Unauthorized entry into an inhabited dwelling
Location: 1200 block of Luling Estates Drive in Luling, LA

Sheriff Greg Champagne reports the homeowner advised a male subject entered her home through an unsecured door and looked through her freezer. The male left when she confronted him. The same subject had attempted to speak to her earlier that day.
