SCSO releases more information regarding death of St. Rose man

Sheriff Champagne announces more information on arrest in the death of Morlon Lloyd Vinnett.
On Friday, May 20th 2022, just before 11:30 pm, deputies with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a male subject laying on the ground unresponsive in a parking lot in the 100 block of St. Rose Avenue in St. Rose, LA.
The first responding officer attempted to perform lifesaving measures until EMS arrived on scene. Paramedics also performed emergency medical services; however, the victim had succumbed to his injuries. The victim was identified as Morlon Vinnett, a 50-year-old St. Rose resident.
Throughout the investigation, sufficient evidence was gathered, and detectives were able to obtain an arrest warrant, signed by a 29th Judicial District Court Judge, for Todd Anthony Adams, a 45-year-old St. Rose resident in relation to the incident.
Todd Adams was located in the 100 Block of Bridal Path Ln. and placed under arrest. Adams is being charged with LRS 14:31 Manslaughter and LRS 14:130.1 Obstruction of Justice.
Todd Adams is being held at the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center on a $500,000.00 bond.
