LAPLACE — St. John Parish Sheriff Mike Tregre announced May 17, 2022 that three SJSO officers were among 21 graduates of the Peace Officer Standards and Training program (POST) conducted at the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Training Facility in Luling. The 15-week program included training in firearms, physical fitness, Louisiana criminal and traffic law, writing reports, conducting interrogations and general investigative techniques.

Sgt. Brian Kennedy, from left, Deputy Lawrence Forestier and Sgt. Vachroan Johnson were recognized as certified Peace Officers on May 13, 2022 during the POST graduation at the SCSO training facility.

Deputy Kennedy earned the fitness award. Deputy Forrester was chosen cadet commander of the class.
