Sixty St. Charles students attend 2022 Youth Leadership Symposium.

St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg Champagne is proud to announce that on Saturday, April 23rd 2022, approximately 60 preteens and teens from St. Charles Parish attended the St. Charles Parish 2022 Youth Leadership Symposium. This four-hour event was held at the St. Charles Parish Public Schools Professional Learning Center in Luling, LA.

The theme of this year’s event was “Maximize Your Momentum”.

The youth attendees enjoyed amazing interactive presentations on Valuable Lessons About Your Purpose presented by Minister Jorge Walker of Mount Zion Church of Boutte, The Dangers of Vaping presented by Denarold Anderson with Thoughts Before Action, The Dangers of Leaving Babies and Young Kids in Vehicles / Don’t Leave Me Behind presented by Tyrell Cornwell, Self- Esteem / Self-Awareness presented by Inez Shaw with Boy Scouts of America, Leadership presented by Phi Iota Iota of Omega Psi Phi. Ochsner passed out vaping health information and Ascent passed out counseling information. The youth were excited to win door prizes.
