Sheriff Martin is warning homeowners of a deed scam.
Property Profiles is sending out unsolicited, deceptive, and official-looking mail to homeowners. The scam intends to sell publicly-available information for $107.00. Their notices appear as bills due for copies of their property of deeds, which can be publicly obtained.
We ask that if you receive one of these Recorded Deed Notices to disregard the notice. We also would like to remind our residents never give out banking or credit card information.
We have attached a copy of the letter received by a homeowner.
