DESTREHAN — On May 5, Ochsner Vision Center – Destrehan held a ribbon cutting to mark the opening of this new clinic.

Ochsner Vision Center – Destrehan, located at 13100 River Road, Suite 220, is equipped with an autorefractor allowing for a quick reading for prescription glasses before a complete exam, a pachymeter to measure the thickness of a patient’s cornea, a vision center for eyeglasses and contact lenses, and three exam rooms with the ability to treat most vision needs. Patients can make appointments to see an Ochsner optometrist and ophthalmologist Monday – Friday.

Ochsner Vision Center – Destrehan already has expansion plans in mind, with enhanced vision services and capabilities planned for the future, such as retinal topography to diagnose retinal issues and fundus photo equipment to photograph the back of the eye to view the retina, optic nerve head and the macula.
