Ascension, Assumption, and St. James guilty pleas 4/25 to 4/29

During the week of April 25 – April 29, 2022, the following defendants pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 23rd Judicial District Court, parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James.

Ascension Parish:

1. James Green, 1118 Hwy 30 Gonzales, LA, age 29, pled guilty to Aggravated Battery and Simple Burglary. The defendant was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

2. Abraham Chambers, 6626 Victoria Dr. Baton Rouge, LA, age 53, pled guilty to Simple Burglary and was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

3. Conrad Rousseau, 43410 R Daigle Rd. Gonzales, LA, age 49, pled guilty to Illegal Use of Weapons and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Phil Maples, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Cody Martin.

Assumption Parish:

Assumption Parish had no court news to report this week.

St. James Parish:

St. James Parish had no court news to report this week.
