LAPLACE — STEM NOLA and STEM St. John partnered to bring STEM Saturdays back to local children. Last Saturday at Lake Pontchartrain Elementary, students learned about structures and designs by building and testing their own wooden structures.

Kindergarten through second grade students constructed a house, while third through fifth graders constructed a windmill, and sixth through 12th graders constructed a ferris wheel.

STEM Saturday events are free to all St. John the Baptist Parish students. Future dates will be shared soon. For more information, visit stemnola.com.
