Incident: Identity Theft Location: St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office Headquarters Date: April 29, 2022 Incident Number: 2202424 Sheriff Greg Champagne reports deputies responded to a report of identity theft, in which someone opened two accounts with energy companies in Texas using the victim’s information. Both accounts have past due balances.

Incident: Theft of money Location: St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office Headquarters Date: April 29, 2022 Incident Number: 2202425 Sheriff Greg Champagne reports deputies responded to a report of theft. The victim responded to a phishing email by contacting a phone number and providing her bank account number. Money was then transferred from an account linked to her account and a wire transfer was completed. Incident: Burglary with a firearm Location: 800 block of East Harding Street in New Sarpy, LA Date: May 1, 2022 Incident Number: 2202456 Sheriff Greg Champagne reports deputies responded to a report of a burglary with a subject armed with a firearm. The victim reported a large amount of cash taken. Through investigation, it was determined “some” of the money was made selling illicit drugs.
