TPSO investigates shooting that happen near a daycare, directly behind a school

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred on April 27, 2022 on Brickyard Road in Independence.
During the investigation, video surveillance capturing the incident was discovered. While there have been no reports of persons being shot, detectives observed the shooting to have occurred several hundred feet from a daycare facility and directly behind a school bus. Images of two vehicles of interest were obtained and are described below:
The first vehicle is identified as a small dark blue sedan bearing a paper tag in the rear window with possible body work on the passenger side.
The second vehicle is identified as a dark colored sedan that is an unknown make or model.
Chief Jimmy Travis is asking anyone with knowledge of the incident, or knows the identity of any persons involved to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-554-5245. Sergeant Russell Walker is the lead investigator.
