BROUSSARD — Riverside Academy traveled to the LHSAA Select State Softball Tournament held at St. Julien Park in Broussard.

Ranked third in Division IV, the Lady Rebels lost to No. 2 Calvary Baptist 7-1 in the semifinal game Friday afternoon. Riverside Academy completes its 2o22 softball season with 29 wins and seven losses.

St. Charles Catholic’s softball team also traveled to the state tournament in Broussard. Ranked second in Division III, the Lady Comets will play No. 3 Houma Christian at 4 p.m.

If successful, the Lady Comets will advance to the championship on Saturday, April 30, to face the winner of tonight’s game between No. 1 Notre Dame and No. 5 Holy Savior Menard.
