RESERVE — Three St. John Parish softball teams have made it to the LHSAA playoffs. The state tournament will be held April 29-30 at the St. Julien Complex in Broussard.

Ranked third in Division IV, Riverside Academy will host No. 14 Ouachita Christian in the regional round on April 19. The winner will advance to the quarterfinals to face either Cedar Creek or St. Mary’s. The Lady Rebels have had a phenomenal season with 27 wins and six losses.

St. Charles Catholic is advancing straight to the Division III softball quarterfinals as a No. 2 seed. The Lady Comets will face the winner of next week’s regional game between Pope John Paul II and Ascension Episcopal on April 23. This season, St. Charles Catholic has had 23 wins and only four losses.

West St. John’s softball team has also advanced to the playoffs as a No. 19 seed in Class 1A. The Lady Rams will travel to Centerville for a bi-district game on April 19. A win would send West St. John to the regional round to face No. 3 Merryville. The Lady Rams are 3-6 for the season.

With a 2-9 record in class 5A, East St. John did not advance to this year’s softball playoffs.
