St. James Woman Indicted for 2nd Degree Murder

On March 28, 2022, a St. James Parish Grand Jury returned a true bill of indictment on 52-year-old Sheila Williams of 10237 Palm Dr. St. James, LA for the charge of 2nd Degree Murder in connection with the December shooting death of 61-year-old James Ross of St. James.

 

         On December 8, 2021, St. James Parish Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a St. James residence in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies located James Ross deceased in the residence from an apparent gunshot wound to the face. Detectives quickly identified Sheila Williams as the shooter. Williams was subsequently arrested and booked into the St. James Parish Jail where she remains incarcerated.

 

Assistant District Attorney Bruce Mohon is the lead prosecutor on this case.
