LUTCHER — St James Parish Hospital announces the retirement of Frannie Waguespack, nurse practitioner. Frannie has served as a nurse practitioner for 40 years, touching many lives throughout her tenure.

Frannie served the St. James Parish community for the past 14 years. She began her journey in Vacherie in 2007 working alongside Dr. Sarat Donepudi. In 2015, St. James Parish Hospital purchased Dr. Donepudi’s practice, now operating as St. James West Bank Clinic, where Frannie has worked ever since.

Rachel Becnel, chief clinic operating officer, states, “It is with mixed emotions that we announce Frannie’s retirement. She has been devoted to our community and dedicated to caring for her patients. She will be greatly missed by all.”

“We wish her well in her retirement. She certainly deserves it,” said Rachel.

“Frannie was instrumental in creating a smooth transition when we welcomed St. James West Bank Clinic to the hospital nearly seven years ago. Her familiar face and established trust with patients allowed us to continue to serve the west bank community,” said Mary Ellen Pratt, St. James Parish Hospital CEO.

Frannie officially retired on March 29, 2022. St. James Parish Hospital once again thanks her for her service and commitment to the hospital’s mission of providing excellent, quality and compassionate care.

Dr. Jarelle Scott, Family Practice Physician, and Denise Louque, Family Nurse Practitioner, will continue to see patients in Vacherie. Call 225-265-3013 to schedule an appointment at St. James West Bank Clinic.
