Manchac – On Wednesday, March 30, 2022, Louisiana State Police along with the Canadian National Railroad will be partnering with over twenty-five local and state authorities in conducting a joint training exercise in Manchac.  The exercise is open to the public and scheduled to begin shortly after 8:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The training scenario will take place at Port Manchac, located at 31450 Highway 51 South, Akers, LA, 70421.  Informational flyers will be going out in the nearby areas.  This controlled training scenario will help first responders evaluate their effectiveness in responding to a large-scale disaster or threat in their respective areas.
