Thank you for your continued support of my efforts to keep our parish safe. I hope you feel that our department has significantly improved over the last 10 years of my administration.

On Saturday, March 26, there is an election to renew a quarter cent sales tax that voters approved in 2013. Early voting is going on now.

The tax generates $2.4 million to the department for officers’ salaries and crime camera technology. The funds are instrumental in keeping up with today’s crime patterns and retaining good officers.

I am personally asking you to go and vote YES on this renewal. THIS IS NOT A NEW TAX NOR A TAX INCREASE. My department needs this funding in order to implement body cameras, which will soon be mandatory for all law enforcement agencies. I hope you agree that St. John Sheriff’s Office is doing a good job. Our crime fighting success depends on proper funding. Please go vote YES!
