Dean Paul Torres passed away at his residence surrounded by family on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at the

age of 77. Dean was born July 12, 1944 and lived his entire life in Reserve, LA. He attended St. Peter Catholic School, Holy Cross High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Southeastern University. He retired from the State of Louisiana Office of Family Support. He was the Executive Director of St. John United Way, was a lifetime member of the Rotary Club. Additionally, he was very active in numerous civic and civil organizations throughout St. John Parish. He was an avid hunter in the Maurepas Swamp, loved fishing, boating, golf, and gardening.
Beloved husband of 55 years to Patricia Weber Torres. Loving father of Rachelle Torres Sevin (Kenneth), and Kirk A. Torres (Cathy Vicknair Torres). Grandfather of Timothy, Thomas, and Travis Sevin, and Robin, Kolby, and Kyle Torres. Son of the late Sylvia Songy and Edmond J. Torres, Sr. Brother of Marilyn T. Maurin (the late LeBrun), Sister Lorraine Torres O.P., Bryan Torres (Mary Fraser), Barbara T. Hill (Lewis), Bruce Duhe, Jr. (Milissa), and the late E. J. Torres, Jr. (Myrtle), and Sandra Torres Duhe. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve on Friday, March 18, 2022. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. 11:00 a.m., followed by the Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery immediately following.
