As the Mardi Gras 2022 festivities come to an end, Louisiana State Police reflects on the assistance provided to ensure a safe Carnival.
Throughout the five day deployment, #troopers assigned in and around the French Quarter seized 24 firearms for various levels of illegal possession, made 44 arrests, answered 167 calls for service and completed nearly 1100 public assists.
This long-standing partnership of unified enforcement with the New Orleans Police Department to provide safety for special events in the city of New Orleans continues to be effective.
