St. Charles Parish reports several vehicle break-ins

DESTREHAN — The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of several vehicle break-ins in Destrehan and Montz the morning of Monday, February 22.
Police urge citizens to please, remember to remove valuables, electronics, jewelry and firearms from vehicles each night. Also, each night before you go to bed, a great tip is to set yourself a reminder to go out and make sure all of your vehicles are secured.
Destrehan
On Monday, February 22, just after 6:30 a.m., the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of several vehicle break-ins in the 100 block of Parlange Drive in Destrehan.
S.C.S.O. detectives learned that the pictured suspect appears to be a black male subject wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, ripped blue jeans, slipper-style shoes, wearing a backward hat, exited the light-colored Volkswagen Beetle with a dark-colored convertible top and entered several unsecured vehicles in the 100 block of Parlange Drive. While investigating those cases, another group vehicle break-ins were reported in the 100 block of Dunleith Drive in Destrehan at approximately 12:15 a.m.
Citizens in the area with home surveillance or Ring camera systems are asked to review their video footage and to contact Det. Kevin Tennison of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office at (985) 783-6807 or (985) 783-1135, if they observe any suspicious activity that may be related to the incident.
Montz
On Monday, February 22nd 2022, between 4:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of several vehicle break-ins in the 100 block of Thoroughbred Avenue Montz, LA.
S.C.S.O. detectives learned that the pictured suspect vehicle and the pictured occupants exited the dark-colored vehicle and entered at least three unsecured vehicles in the 100 block of Thoroughbred Avenue. While investigating those cases, another group vehicle break-in was reported within Country Cottage Estates.
