NEW SARPY — When Lexus “Luckii” Wells decided to broaden the horizon of her 2-year-old daughter’s toddler clothing business, she never expected to connect with a brand ambassador all the way in South Africa.

Joining the Rae Dior Couture family is 2-year-old Montle Moratwa Mashingo, a multi-talented little girl whose skills include modeling, reading, counting and children’s mathematics. She has received the prestigious “Best Personality” award from MLTA_SA Models Academy, and she has already worked with big brands like Portia M Baby Products, Crazy Crafts, West Pack and the children’s makeup shop Cassie and Ally.

Now, Montle Moratwa Mashingo has the experience of representing an international brand founded in the River Parishes of South Louisiana.

She’s among the new brand ambassadors putting Rae Dior Couture on the map by marketing the brand locally, across the country, and across the globe.

Wells, a St. Charles Parish native, started Rae Dior Couture on May 23, 2020. The brand was born out of an unconditional love for her daughter, Rae’Lynn Dior Jackson, with the hope of building a legacy to better her future.

“I wanted my daughter’s business to expand further than just the state of Louisiana. Incorporating kid ambassadors in different areas of the world will allow us to not only promote our clothing, but promote our versatility,” Wells said. “While it would bring more attention to our brand, this is also to enhance and promote increasing the self-esteem of young girls and boys worldwide.”

Rae Dior Couture brand ambassadors, known as “#RDCSTYLERS,” must actively promote the brand on social media. In return, each brand ambassador receives a free outfit of the owner’s choice per quarter, in addition to a 50% discount off the entire website and a 10% discount code for followers.

Wells was inspired to expand her daughter’s business after networking with a young lady named Tamera Wilson, a fellow small business owner who offered insight on how to grow the brand. Wells used various social media platforms to find kids across the country who had large followings.

The following children were recently named Rae Dior Couture out-of-state Brand Ambassadors: Jzh’Xorri Jones (Texas), Bre’Lynn Jefferson (Mississippi), Esme’ Smet (Mississippi), Alice Mae (Kansas), Ariah Nunez (Arizona), Hope Jensen (Connecticut) and Kassidy Townsend (Alabama).

Montle Moratwa Mashingo was also selected as one of eight “out-of-state” brand ambassadors. It was only after Wells spoke with the little girl’s mother that she realized Moratwa was located not only outside of Louisiana, but outside of the country.

“When Moratwa’s mom replied back to me ‘SOUTH AFRICA’ I could have lost my mind,” Wells said. “Moratwa literally has the entire package; she’s beautiful, smart and stylish! Montle Moratwa is my first out-of-country brand ambassador, which makes me ecstatic. Never in a million years would I have thought that I would have a well-known kid ambassador from South Africa promoting my daughter’s boutique.”

Since relaunching the Rae Dior Couture line on February 4, Wells has already noticed an uptick in sales. She shipped her first order out to Africa on February 10, 2022.

“What makes me most excited about bringing Rae Dior Couture to South Africa is simply giving the girls and boys in Africa a different taste of clothing from America and showing them our latest trends,” Wells said. “My goals for my future growth is simply to be better than what I was yesterday. As long as I see growth within myself running my daughter’s business, that’s my absolute biggest concern. I’m a strong believer in God’s timing and I believe solely in my heart what’s meant for Rae Dior Couture will be for Rae Dior Couture at the right time. In the midst of God working everything out for my good, I will continue to put forth the effort in building my daughter’s brand from the ground up, researching and finding other great ways to market my business.”

Wells lives by the Bible verse James 2:14-26, “Faith without works is dead.” She plans on giving pack to the River Parishes community in 2022 by hosting an Easter egg hunt with the intentions of inviting other small business to participate and to promote unity within local children. She also has intentions of participating in a toy drive, feeding the homeless and hosting the Rae Dior Couture second annual Back to School Giveaway.

As the brand continues to be involved in the community, Rae Dior Couture has also welcomed two brand ambassadors in Louisiana: Londyn Johnson and Blakely Estevez.

Brand ambassador Blakely Estevez was recently diagnosed with childhood kidney cancer at 9 months old. From February 15 through March 15, 10% of every order received through https://www.raediorcouture.com/ will support Blakely’s medical expenses.
