RESERVE — River Parish Community Theatre announced plans to celebrate their 35th anniversary in 2022. The organization originated in 1987 as St. James Community Theater and in 2016 rebranded as River Parish Community Theatre after a reorganization.

RPCT Board President Sean Roussel commented, “Thirty-five years ago a dedicated and committed group formed St. James Community Theater and began offering their time and talent to bring live theater to the community. Today, we are very proud of what that organization has become. We have expanded the programming and have also branched into a level of community involvement that community theaters have not previously explored.”

The non-profit group has plans to recognize former members of the theater board and include the community in its celebration.

Roussel continued, “We owe big thanks to the folks who started this organization and continued their work to keep it viable. It is our hope that all former board members who can, will join us in celebrating the success story that is SJCT-RPCT.”
