SCSO investigating shooting with injuries in St. Rose

ST. ROSE — Shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday, the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a call of gunshots on Airline Highway in St. Rose.
Deputies arrived and located a victim with injuries sustained during the shooting. EMS, Louisiana State Police, Kenner P.D. and other agencies are assisting.
Currently the portion of Airline Highway (US 61) Southbound towards Kenner in St. Rose is closed due to the investigation. Southbound traffic will be diverted to Almedia Road (LA 50).
This is an active investigation with a heavy police presence; however there is no danger to the public and further updates will be provided as they become available.
