The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating several vehicle break-ins and a vehicle theft, which occurred in the early morning hours of January 19, 2022 in the Willowdale area.
Currently, we have received 2 calls of vehicle break-ins in the 200 block of Beaupre Dr., 1 vehicle in the 100 block of Cottage Dr, and a stolen vehicle in the 100 block of Bocage Dr. All vehicles were left unsecured and/or keys left inside them.
Deputies and Detectives are out canvassing the area for any evidence. Based on some surveillance footage, it appears that a newer model Nissan Maxima, white in color was stopped in the 200 block of Beaupre at approximately 3:38 a.m. While stopped at least one subject was seen pulling on car door handles in the area.
We urge citizens to please, remember to remove valuables, electronics, jewelry, and firearms from your vehicles each night. Also, each night before you go to bed, a great tip is to set yourself an alarm to go out and make sure all of your vehicles are secured.
Citizens in the area with home surveillance or Ring cameras are asked to review their systems and to contact Det. Charles Floyd of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office at (985) 783-6807, if they observe any suspicious activity that may be related to the vehicle theft/break-ins.
