SJSO investigates New Years Eve home invasion

Detectives with the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office are investigating a home invasion that occurred Friday, December 31, 2021, about 11 p.m. in the 100 block of Northwest 18th Street in Reserve.
Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the 43-year-old male and 40-year-old female victims who reported that two unknown black males wearing face masks and all black clothing entered their bedroom where they were sleeping, woke them, pointed guns at them and demanded personal property. The victims described one subject as slender and the other as short and heavy set.
While the slender subject remained in the bedroom, the heavy set subject left the room and entered the male subject’s 21-year-old daughter’s room, pointed a gun at her then took her I-Phone. Both subjects then fled the scene in a dark colored SUV.
No one was injured.

The St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to call 911 if they observe any suspicious subjects in their neighborhood.
