Alton Raymond Berthelot, Sr. passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021 at the age of 91. He was born in Reserve, LA and was a resident of Laplace, LA.
Beloved husband of the late Rose “Mae” Boudreaux Berthelot. Loving father of Jeffrey Paul Berthelot (Mary “Lezlie”), Alton Raymond Berthelot, Jr., Aubert Joseph ”AJ” Berthelot (Tammy) and Nadine Berthelot Wells. Grandfather of Jessica Berthelot, Melissa Berthelot, Austin Berthelot (Dayna), Manuel “Manny” Wells, Claire Wells, Jourdan Berthelot, Dustin Berthelot (Lindsay), Megan Clayton (Stefan) and Jamie Romero (Sean). Great grandfather of Colette Berthelot, Caleb Clayton, Holly Clayton, Liam Clayton, Brock Berthelot, Quinn Berthelot, Savannah Berthelot, Gracely Berthelot and Reagan “Addy” Wells. Son of the late Nelia Schexnayder Berthelot and Noland Theodore Berthelot. Brother of Marlene Berthelot OP, Patricia Berthelot Melancon and the late Audrey Berthelot Becnel, Clemance Berthelot Bourgeois, Burton Berthelot and Noland Berthelot. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Mass at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 529 W. 5th St., LaPlace, LA on Thursday, December 30, 2021. Visitation from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. Interment in St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery, LaPlace, LA.
