TPSO seeks man that escaped from parish jail

UPDATE- Gaten is now in custody in Washington Parish.
TPSO  thanks all of you for your assistance in locating Gaten and the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office, Amite Police Department, Independence Police Department, Louisiana State Police, and Rayburn Correctional Center for their combined efforts.
The Tangipahoa Parish Sherif’s Office is looking for wanted subject Clarence Gaten Jr. (B/M 38 years old). Gaten escaped from the parish jail and is currently wanted for his escape, attempted car jacking, and child endangerment.
Gaten was last seen headed south behind Dirt Cheap and was last seen wearing navy blue jail attire. Gatin has a large tattoo on his chest and possible injuries to both of his arms.
Gaten was incarcerated for 2 counts of failure to appear and resisting of a police officer 4 days ago.
A perimeter has been secured around the area as TPSO deputies attempt to locate Gaten.
