TPSO makes arrest in robbery of over $50,000

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary call on December 14, 2021 in Hammond, La.
During the initial investigation, deputies made contact with the victim who informed the deputies several items were missing from their shop, stating the value of stolen items were between $50,000 and $70,000.
Detectives conducted a search warrant of a neighboring residence being occupied by Corey and Krystal Prokop of Albany, La. Detectives located a large amount of the property stolen throughout the residence. Detectives received a tip of the whereabouts of the suspects and were thus able to locate them.
Chief Jimmy Travis reports that Corey and Krystal Prokop were taken into custody and booked in the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on the following charges:
Corey Prokop (W/M 34-years-old)
1 Count Simple Burglary
1 Possession of Stolen Property
Krystal Prokop (W/F 36-years-old)
1 count Simple Burglary
1 count Possession of Stolen Property
