ST. JOHN PARISH — Executive Chef Natasha Clement is relaunching her catering operation, Sophisticated Southern Plates, just in time for the holiday season. Clement pressed pause on taking catering events earlier this summer to focus on opening SANTOS, a full-service restaurant serving southern favorites with a Latin twist on Highway 90 in Luling.
Sophisticated Southern Plates is now a part of the Sophisticated Hospitality Group owned by Clement and Buddy Boe. The Group took over Boe’s family restaurant, Buddy B’s Restaurant in Garyville, earlier this year and opened SANTOS in Luling in late August. However, now that both restaurants are back open following Hurricane Ida, the team is ready to re-launch its catering wing and bring its sophisticated style and cooking to events throughout the region.
Sophisticated Southern Plates provides catering and private event services ranging from banquets and rehearsal parties to weddings and private dinners. Images of past events can be found at @SophisticatedSouthernPlates on Instagram.
Anyone interested in booking an event with Sophisticated Southern Plates can go to www.SophisticatedSouthernPlates.com and fill out the request form.
“While we hope the region is enjoying our food at Buddy B’s and Santos…we know people are ready to have great events as things slowly get back to normal and I can’t wait to bring our flavors and flair to the region’s next events,” said Executive Chef Natasha Clement.
Clement was a former contestant on MasterChef Season 6 and a WINNER of Food Network’s All Star Academy Season 2 under the tutelage of Chef Robert Irvine. Some of her most recent accolades include catering to the King of New Orleans, Drew Brees, for his surprise 40th Birthday Party as well as being the only private chef invited to participate in the New Orleans Bourbon Festival!
