Juveniles arrested for armed robbery in Garyville

GARYVILLE — Two male juveniles, ages 15 and 17, were arrested Wednesday, December 1, 2021, in connection to an armed robbery in Garyville.
On Tuesday, November 30, 2021 about 3:15 p.m., officers responded to the 300 block of Historic East Street in Garyville in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the 42-year-old male victim who reported that while standing in his front yard, two juveniles, one armed with a gun, walked into his yard and
approached him.
One juvenile, later identified as the 17-year-old male, suddenly fled the scene as the other juvenile, identified as the 15-year-old, pointed a handgun in the victim’s face. The 15-year-old then pushed the victim to the ground, stole about $200 in cash from the victim’s pockets, then fled the scene.
Through investigation, detectives developed the two teens as suspects in the incident. Based on investigation, officers obtained judicial warrants for their arrests. The 15-year-old was booked with armed robbery; use of a firearm (felony). He is being held in custody in lieu of a $25,000 bond. The 17-year-old male was booked with principal to armed robbery; use of a firearm (felony). He is being held in custody in lieu of a $15,000 bond.
