LAPLACE — Applications for the 2021 Andouille Pageant are due by 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 1. Applications can be found online at www.andouillefestival.com.

This year’s Andouille Pageant will be held in an interview-only format.

The 2021 Miss Andouille Pageant will be held on Saturday, December 4 at the St. John Parish Government Complex located at 1811 W Airline Hwy.

The Teen Division interviews will begin promptly at 10 a.m. and last approximately five minutes per contestant, while the Miss Division interviews will begin promptly at 11 a.m. and last approximately eight minutes per contestant. Only contestants are allowed to attend the interviews.

Suits are considered proper interview attire. However, in the event a contestant is crowned, she may bring additional attire, such as a formal gown or cocktail dress, for pictures.

Miss/Teen Andouille 2021, the Fashion Award and First Runner Up will be crowned.

Contestants must be single, childless, and between the ages of 17-23 for the Miss Division and 13-16 for the Teen Division on the date of the pageant. Contestants must not have ever been married or arrested and must reside in the River Parishes. The contestant entry fee is $50 and is non-refundable. Please write checks payable to St. John Andouille Pageant.

As ambassadors for St. John the Baptist Parish, the Queens will represent the parish at a variety of local and state-wide functions, including the St. John Andouille Festival. The new Andouille Queens will also visit their U.S. representatives and senators, other elected officials and other representatives throughout Louisiana. They will also represent the Parish at the Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals Queen of Queens Pageant held in Baton Rouge.
