It’s impossible to be hateful when you’re grateful

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

This week, as we celebrate Veterans Day (November 11) and pay tribute to the men and women who took the oath to serve our country, we thank you for answering the call to serve, not only this day, but every day.

With so much for which to be thankful, my heart is burdened for the condition of our country. We are a nation divided with people who are ungrateful for America and the blessings which God has given us.

In the Pledge of Allegiance, we say that we are one nation under God. If we really believe that, we would respect all the blessings we enjoy. We are the greatest country in the world with half of the people doing whatever possible to destroy it.

Thank God that many people still pay tribute to the veterans who have kept us free and respect the police who try to keep us safe.

I remember something I’ve heard many times – “It’s impossible to be hateful when you’re grateful.” Maybe the reason we have so much hatred in this country is because we aren’t grateful.
