LAPLACE — The Salvation Army New Orleans Command will have a special Angel Tree Registration date in LaPlace, giving more families a chance to be blessed with a gift this Christmas season.

Knowing that a lot of families in St. Charles/St. John the Baptist areas are continuing to struggle following Ida, The Salvation Army reached out and was able to secure a location to host an added registration date so families in need of Christmas gifts for young children had an opportunity to register.

The special registration will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, November 4 at Victorious Life Family Worship Center, located at 8896 Richmond Drive in LaPlace.

The following information is required to register a child 12 years of age or younger for the Angel Tree:

  • Parent or legal guardians photo ID
  • Proof of current address (utility bill, lease, etc.)
  • Proof of all household income (including food stamps)
  • Birth certificate or Medicaid card for 12 and under
  • Clothing/shoe sizes and toy suggestions for 12 and under
