Community Shred Day returns this weekend

EDGARD — Community Shred Day will take place on both sides of the river in St. John the Baptist Parish on Saturday, November 6. This event is free and open to St. John residents.

Shred Day will be held on the West Bank from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Juan Anthony Joseph Memorial Park, located at 3445 Highway 18 in Edgard. The East Bank event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at the REGALA Gym parking lot, located at 200 REGALA Park Rd.

Residents may bring documents such as old bank statements, tax returns, bills, receipts, credit card applications and outdated medical records to be safely and confidentially shredded. Please remember to remove all paper clips, staples and other bindings.

Only residential shredding will be allowed (no commercial shedding). Shedding will be accepted until capacity is reached. Wet documents cannot be shredded but will be brought off-site for disposal.
