Today, more than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s, and more than 11 million family and friends provide unpaid care to people living with Alzheimer’s & other dementia. On November 16, 17, 18, the Alzheimer’s Association Louisiana Chapter will host a Caregiver’s Conference on research, compassion, and hope, in celebration of caregiver’s everywhere.

The virtual conference, free to anyone who attends, will showcase experts in the aging field from across the state of Louisiana. Attendees will hear the latest in the field on Resiliency, Modifiable dementia risk factors, meaningful activities, benefits of palliative care, and new advances in Alzheimer’s treatment. The conference will feature speakers from top universities, the health care field, and local dementia experts and researchers from across Louisiana.

In addition to providing caregivers with the latest information on research and treatments, the Association is also providing free continuing education opportunities for nurses, advance practicing nurses, social workers, and nursing home administrators.
