RESERVE – Glen Smith and Gary Smith, Sr., owners of G. Smith Motorsports, along with State Senator Gary Smith Jr. were pleased to host a school supply giveaway for the families affected by Hurricane Ida. Volunteers distributed the school supplies at REGALA Park in Reserve from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19. St. John the Baptist Parish President Jaclyn Hotard and staff also assisted volunteers with distribution.

“As we continue to move forward in our recovery from the effects of Hurricane Ida, we want to make sure the children in our community have the right tools to go back to school,” said Glen Smith. “We want our community to know that we are in this together, and the importance of supporting those around you in even the smallest of ways has a huge impact.”

G.Smith Motorsports, based in St. Rose, is a team and brand of The Magnolia Companies of LA, LLC.  It is owned and operated by brothers Glen Smith and Gary Smith.

G. Smith Motorsports’ creation stemmed from the Smiths’ lifelong love of cars, community, racing, outreach and motorcycles. Over the last several years, the organization evolved into what it is today: a platform for The Magnolia Companies’ community involvement, enrichment and philanthropy.
